While on deployment, Sergeant Eric found a puppy scrounging for food near his base and knew she would not survive without him. He took her in, named her Liberty and quickly fell in love with the sweet pup. He feared Liberty would be forced to stay behind when his deployment ended. Heartbroken at that possibility, he reached out to us for help. Thanks to your generous donations, Liberty is coming home this month! We are so grateful to our SPCA International community for rushing to aid this American hero and his beloved battle buddy. Soon, Liberty will be reunited with Sergeant Eric and be able to start her new life in New York.
Robyn is a sweet dog with a fighting spirit. She was the victim of a terrible act of violence that left her on the brink of death. But this brave girl was not ready to give up, and neither was the dedicated team that rescued her. Now healed, Robyn is looking for the perfect family to give her the loving home she deserves. Robyn’s story is of one hope, determination, and resilience, and we can’t think of a better ending than helping her find her forever home.
Last month, we introduced you to Kengue — a gentle street dog with a large tumor desperately needing medical attention. An SPCA International partner clinic was able to take him in to perform surgery and provide him with chemo treatment. Unfortunately, despite the team’s best efforts, Kengue passed away. We wish we could have cured him more than anything, but we find comfort in knowing he was not alone. Thanks to your generous support, Kengue received hospice care. In his last days, he knew nothing but love and comfort. Kengue captured our hearts, and we will miss him tremendously.
