SPCA International (“SPCA International”) provides this website (“site”) or any affiliates as a service to those individuals wishing to participate. Use of the site is subject to the terms and conditions set forth in SPCA International’s Privacy Policy (“policy”) and the Terms of Use of this website.

SPCA International collects information from its website. The Privacy Policy governs users’ interaction with the site and the organization’s use of online and offline donor information. Except as set forth in this Privacy Policy, the site’s Terms of Use agreement, and/or other published guidelines, SPCA International does not release personally identifiable information about the site’s visitors without their permission.

Our Commitment to Your Privacy

Web Content Usage

All information contained on this website or its affiliates is copyrighted by and proprietary to SPCA International, Inc. (SPCAI) and may not be copied, reproduced, transmitted, displayed, performed, distributed, altered, stored for subsequent use or otherwise used in whole or in part in any manner without the prior written consent of SPCAI. What Information Does SPCA International Gather?

SPCA International gathers two types of information about the site’s users: non-personally identifiable information and personally identifiable information.

Non-personally identifiable information. As users access the site, SPCA International collects and aggregates information indicating, among other things, which pages were visited, the order in which they were visited, and which hyperlinks were employed. Collecting such information involves the logging of IP addresses, operating systems, and browser software used by each visitor. Although such information is not personally identifiable, SPCA International may be able to determine from the IP address of a visitor’s Internet Service Provider and the geographic location of the user’s point of connectivity.

The non-personally identifiable information collected helps in diagnosing any server problems, administering the site, identifying the most popular areas of the site, and determining the effectiveness of promotional activities.

What About Children’s Online Privacy?

SPCA International does not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children (defined herein as minors younger than thirteen (13) years of age). SPCA International requests that all minors have their parents read the Privacy Policy and the Terms of Use of the website.

How Does SPCA International Use Gathered Information?

If you do not make a service request or donation or otherwise identify yourself, we will have no personally identifiable information about you. We will only use aggregate information derived, in part, from your use of our website to improve our site and our service to you.

If you provide personal information, we may enter your name into our constituent database and contact you in order to complete voluntary surveys seeking feedback for quality and service improvement purposes, supply you with information regarding our programs and services, request voluntary time or monetary contributions to SPCAI; and/or request your participation in any SPCAI research studies. We collect the e-mail addresses of those who communicate with us by e-mail. If your name is entered into the database, we may contact you as outlined above.

The site may contain links to other Internet websites, including other companies, charitable organizations, and other sites that may or may not be operated or associated with SPCA International. Unless otherwise explicitly stated, SPCA International is not responsible for the privacy practices or the content of such sites, including such sites’ use of any information (such as IP number, browser type, or operating system) collected when visitors to the site click through links to those sites.
