Pets are a lifelong commitment. Your dog will have gone through extensive travel before reuniting with you in a completely new environment. You are required to have contacted at least two trainers so you can set up training sessions to help strengthen your bond and make your dog’s transition to home life as easy as possible. You agree to provide a suitable home for the animal. A suitable home is defined as one which provides proper food, water, shelter, veterinary care, exercise, love, attention and kind treatment at all times. *

You agree that the animal will be treated humanely; will not be used for any inhumane purpose; will not be used for any experimental purpose; will not be used for food; will not be sold; will not be subjected to any cosmetic surgery, including, but not limited to, ear cropping and tail docking; will not be subjected to declawing or debarking and will not be used for any illegal purpose, including, but not limited to, dog fighting. *

Your animal will have gone through extensive travel and, in some cases, various climates and environments. In most instances, they will not have seen you for some time, and, therefore, will undoubtedly be some behavioral adjustments that your animal is going to go through upon arrival to the United States. You agree to approach this time with patience and care and take the necessary provisions to make this transition as stress-free as possible *

Dog owners agree to work with a trainer to help their dog(s) adjust to home life upon arrival to the US. *

Pets are a lifelong commitment; if at any time your pet requires training to address a behavioral concern or issue, you agree to work with a trainer to resolve the issue. *

At any point; if you can no longer keep the animal, you agree that you must contact SPCA International immediately. You will not sell or give this pet to any other person, friend, relative, organization, or animal shelter. *

SPCAI does not have a shelter; I understand that it may take several days or weeks if I choose to rehome my animal. *

I understand that the cost to bring home my pet can cost up to $10,000 depending on the location, timing, airline fees, etc, and that misuse of these funds will be subject to penalty. *

I understand that SPCA International will do whatever they can to ensure the health of my animal; however, I also understand that certain diseases and illnesses are not under their control *

I, the designated caregiver/owner of the above described animal, give permission to SPCA International and their representatives to transport my animal from originating country to the United States as part of the Patriot Pets: Worldwide program. I understand that SPCA International has taken, and will continue to take every precaution possible to safe guard my animal between the time they take possession of my animal until their final destination in the United States. However, I understand that SPCA International cannot make any guarantees that my animal will not get sick, injured or even die while in the care of the organization’s representatives. If something were to happen to my animal while in the care of SPCA International, I give the organization’s representatives permission to get necessary veterinary care. If I cannot be reached, the extent of the veterinary care that my animal receives is a decision that I give to SPCA International and its representatives in conjunction with the recommendation of the veterinarian providing treatment. If everything medically possible has been done for my animal and he/she is suffering, I give SPCA International and its representative permission to have a veterinarian humanely euthanize my animal if they are unable to reach me and if prolonging this decision would cause my animal further suffering.
