Daisy's paw was cruelly hacked off and then she was thrown into a ditch to suffer and bleed to death. But she held on long enough for our partners to find her. August was a busy month for our Operation Baghdad Pups-Worldwide program. Over a dozen pets were in urgent need of rescue from military bases around the world. We’re happy to report that 3 of these pets are home safe, 4 are currently in transit, 5 are in our partner’s care and will travel as soon as they receive their vaccines and complete quarantine, and 2 are still awaiting pickup.
