This month, SPCA International is proud to provide $50,000 in grants to organizations on the front lines of eradicating the dog meat trade. One organization receiving funding, World of Angels Foundation, recently stepped up to save lives. In coordination with other local groups in China, they rescued 100 dogs from a puppy mill operation that was shutting down and about to sell the dogs to dog meat traders.
Helping rescue donkeys in Tanzania remains an important SPCA International priority. For several years, donkeys were being bought and stolen to supply bones and hides for alternative medicine on black markets in Asia. Now, that authorities have cracked down on the practice, hundreds of donkeys remain in limbo.
Thanks to many generous SPCA International supporters, Max is getting the care he needs to heal! This sweet boy had both front legs broken by a terrible beating, but he still trusts and loves people. His caretakers are doing everything they can for Max and we are all hopeful he’ll be ready for a loving forever family sometime soon.

This is particularly exciting for our Operation Baghdad Pups: Worldwide soldiers who often need veterinary advice while deployed but can’t access local veterinarians. Hello Ralphie has generously offered a discount for these soldiers, but their services are available to all who need them.
