Every year tens of thousands of horses and burros are sent out of the U.S for slaughter. Fortunately, a bill moving through congress will make it harder to transport horses to Canada and Mexico for slaughter. SPCA International is proud to stand with other animal welfare groups in support of this legislation.
Lemonade, an innovative home and renters insurance company, is donating $295,785 to SPCAI as part of their Lemonade Giveback program, made possible by their customers unused premium payments. This generous grant will provide life-saving care, rescue, shelter construction, and disaster relief aid for animals in over 40 countries across six continents.

With my heart full of gratitude, the time has come for me to end my tenure with this incredible organization after 11 years. My last day as Executive Director is June 15th; Beyond that I will remain forever a friend of SPCA International and an animal advocate. To every person who has been involved with SPCA International during my time with the organization, none of the accomplishments of the past years would have been possible without your support.
