Spirit: A Miraculous Survivor Of Unspeakable Abuse

In early 2017, we reached out to our supporters desperately trying to raise funds for Spirit, a beautiful dog who had suffered unspeakable cruelty. Her abuse was one of the worst cases we had ever seen, but thanks to a generous outpouring of support she received the medical care and compassion she desperately needed. She made a full recovery after multiple surgeries and many months of TLC. Today, Spirit lives with her new, loving family in Germany. This beautiful photo says it all - she is happy, healthy and living the sweet life. She may still bear the scars of her abuse, but she will never know that pain again thanks to amazing rescue efforts, veterinarians who were unwilling to give up and SPCAI supporters like you!

Bobo: A War Zone Rescue

Bobo used to wait for rides on helicopters when he stole the hearts of many U.S. Soldiers on a military base in Syria. “Bobo is so happy and so am I, he is my best friend and the best thing I ever did was bring him home from an evil, war-torn place.” Bobo and his military dad are now enjoying their lives together along with Bobo's best friend, a deaf pitbull mix, on a 3.5 acre property in the great state of Georgia!

Rooster: Making His Dad Smile

This little guy aptly named Rooster (for being loud and rambunctious) was never supposed to steal the heart of his dad who had a big job to do while stationed overseas in Iraq, but he did. Rooster had a big personality and that gave everyone a reason to smile. Fast forward to present day, Rooster has realized that it’s truly ‘a dog’s life’ and loves to lounge freely without worry, living it up with his dad in Florida.

2017: A Year In Review

Throughout 2017, SPCA International worked with partners to fund spay and neuter campaigns, execute individual rescues, send grants to military families and stem the tide of animal abuse and neglect that is so prevalent worldwide. Our work saved thousands of lives and it's all thanks to supporters like you. We created this photo gallery showcasing some of our individual rescues and international fieldwork. As this year comes to an end, we hope you will take a moment to enjoy the great moments that you made possible.
