Their Work

Founded in 2020 and based in Florida, US, Stray Animal Foundation of India (SAFI) work has been focused on creating an animal welfare network in Hyderabad, India.

With the Hyderabad community having a high poverty rate, little to no government support, and extreme environmental conditions, animals on the streets face difficult struggles to survive. SAFI was created to serve the animal community by serving roughly 250 a year since founded. They rehome around 50 animals and 150 sterilizations a year as well. In addition, they are training volunteers to assist with animal control services as well as educational programs to reduce abuse and promote adoption.

After hearing of SAFI’s successful start to their organization, SPCA International is assisting with them by helping to expand their sterilization campaigns.
