Their Work

Pawsitive Sanctuary is a non-governmental organization (NGO) based in the small village of Amritsar, India and founded by an animal enthusiast, Amita Seth, based in Canada.

Pawsitive Sanctuary rescues and treats all stray animals in the city while also advocating for animal rights. Their team also seeks to raise awareness within the community about animal cruelty in the area and increase positive beliefs of animal welfare.

The primary activity of Pawsitive Sanctuary is to provide free treatment to injured, sick stray dogs. They provide free treatment in the field for 8-10 dogs every day and bring any dogs that are unable to survive on the streets to their animal shelter.

SPCA International is proud to provide support to this organization as they continue their crucial work for the vulnerable animals in their community.
