Their Work

BARCs Rescue is a non-profit organization that believes every dog deserves a new leash on life. Founded in 2012, this volunteer-based charity has transported nearly 2,500 dogs who were at risk of being euthanized across North America and internationally. Working in partnership with shelters, they identify and transport dogs on buses, cars and planes to pre-qualified homes. When the dogs have adjusted from their journey and settled into their foster homes, they are either adopted by the foster or become available for adoption.

SPCA International is inspired by BARCs Rescue’s tireless dedication to confronting the pressing challenge of shelter overpopulation on a global scale. We are proud to support their life-saving work.
