Founded over 6 years ago, Animal Rescue Nyander Guard is working hard to improve the lives of domestic animals trapped within the Fukushima exclusion zones.
This shelter based group works tirelessly to rescue domestic animals still trapped within the Fukushima exclusion zone. Since the nuclear disaster at the Fukushima power plant, Animal Rescue Nyander Guard has been striving to provide medical care to the rescued animals, reuniting families with their beloved pets, and adopting out cats and dogs to new families. Dogs that reside in heavily radiated areas and are unable to be removed are carefully monitored and cared for throughout the year.
SPCA International is proud to provide support to Animal Rescue Nyander Guard as they bring critical rescue and relief to the animals affected by the Fukushima nuclear disaster.
