Founded in 2012 by Oana and her family, Asociatia Sava’s Safe Haven has brought essential care and safety to the stray and community animals of Galati, Romania. With only 4 volunteers and no employees, Sava’s Safe Haven provides a home to over 250 animals.
Every year Sava’s Safe Haven can see up to 100 dogs rehomed throughout Europe. In addition to their rehabilitation and rehoming of cats, dogs, and birds, Sava’s Safe Haven brings essential medical care to the community animals in their region. In a low-income area like Galati, the free medical care that Sava’s Safe Haven provides is vital to the health and well-being of all animals.
SPCA International is proud to support Sava’s Safe Haven in the modernization of their clinic and improvements to their shelter. This will allow Sava’s Safe Haven to help even more animals in desperate need.
