Their Work
Mohammad Alaa Aljaleel opened the first cat sanctuary in Syria in 2015 to feed and care for the cats left behind after their families fled from the war.
Mohammad alone feeds the 200 cats, and a few dogs, at the sanctuary every day. With the help of donations and his own resources, Mohammad provides a much-needed home to the forgotten cats of Aleppo.
SPCA International is incredibly proud to support Mohammad procure more food and construct a shelter for the animals he continues to care for.
