      It might surprise you, but there is currently no federal law against animal cruelty. While all 50 states consider animal cruelty a felony offense, the lack of federal law means local law enforcement often struggles with cases involving federal land or multiple states.

      Battle Buddy Home at Last in Snowy Montana
      Baby made it to Montana and so did the snow! The future is sure to hold a lot of new experiences for Baby, but for now, check out this sweet video of her playing in the snow. Baby and Army Officer Stephen are so grateful to everyone who donated!

      Lucas
      Lucas was found in Azerbaijan with a horrific wound of unknown origin on his left front leg in July 2020. Unfortunately, his leg could not be saved, but thanks to SPCAI supporters and the amazing care of our partners at Good World Animal Rescue and Protection he received the emergency medical care he needed. Even with his painful injury Lucas never stopped being sweet and loving. Now this adorable three-legged pup is looking for a forever home, could it be yours?
