    Nirav was rescued from a busy street after being hit by a speeding vehicle. While he had to get his leg amputated, this beautiful tripod puppy is still able to run and play around. Nirav is shy at first, but once he has gotten to know you, he is a loyal, loving boy who loves all the attention. He’s very motivated by food and is generally quite content in his own company but is good with dogs and humans. Nirav is looking for the perfect companion to play and cuddle with. He doesn’t get nervous on the roads and enjoys going on walks and hiking. He also loves being petted around his neck and rump.     Sushi was rescued from the streets, pregnant and in terrible shape. Unfortunately, only one of her puppies survived.     Quemod was rescued from abuse and neglect by Simabo, our shelter partner on the island of Sao Vicente, Cape Verde, situated off the West Coast of Africa. This sweet senior dog was kept on a short, tight leash under the sun for days. He has not been around people much, so it takes him some time to get used to new faces, but once he is more comfortable, his personality starts to blossom.     Gilly

    Gilly is a smart and sweet Pitbull mix who was dumped on the side of the road in Putnam County, New York. He is a quick learner, eager to please, and has a ton of love to give. He would do best in an adult-only home with no other pets. Gilly has been waiting to be adopted since January and can’t wait until he finally has a place to call home.
