We have some incredible news to share! Six adorable pups rescued by compassionate members of the U.S. military are finally home! Thanks to your generous donations, we raised enough funds to cover their care, paperwork, and flights home. Just last week, these adorable siblings landed at JFK Airport in New York City, where they rested before embarking to their final destinations across the country to reunite with their soldiers.
In our commitment to supporting animal welfare organizations dedicated to saving lives, we are thrilled to spotlight the exceptional work of Putnam County SPCA in New York. SPCA International is honored to partner with them, and we’re excited to share that we recently gave them a grant for $36,000 to enable them to rescue more animals and hold those responsible for cruelty accountable.
Now more than ever, donors are giving smarter, tax-savvy gifts that not only support our work to end the cycle of domestic violence but also their own financial goals. Gifts from non-cash assets, such as Donor-Advised Funds, IRAs, and Stock portfolios can make a powerful impact on SPCA International’s work.
Our primary mission has always revolved around assisting animals and their human caretakers. That’s why we’re thrilled to announce that Pawsitive Recovery has officially joined the SPCA International family of programs. Through the Pawsitive Recovery program, we aim to offer temporary shelter and care to the beloved pets of individuals battling substance abuse or escaping domestic violence situations. These services will allow individuals facing substance abuse/domestic violence to concentrate on their healing journeys without the added burden of worrying about their furry companions.
