Their Work

Founded in 2013, the Lancaster South Carolina SPCA (LSPCA) is a nonprofit rescue organization committed to rescuing the most critical-need animals in their community.

The LSPCA is an all-volunteer, foster-based organization that strives to build a community where people value animals and treat them with respect and kindness. Since 2013, Lancaster SPCA volunteers have helped find homes for over 3,000 dogs and cats. They provide services and resources for community residents to assist in the proper care of pets, including low-cost veterinary services, pet food distribution, and animal-care education. The LSPCA is also committed to providing educational programs in local schools to promote the ethical treatment of animals and the importance of spay/neuter.

SPCA International is proud to support the LSPCA and their mission.
