Their Work

Asociatia Care for Dogs Romania was founded with a mission to rescue as many animals as possible from the streets or from high kill shelters. The founder, Delia, and her team have been working for over 4 years to protect and improve the lives of dogs in the Brasov area.

Care for Dogs runs a small private shelter where they care for approximately 200 dogs at any given time, and at times cats as well. The indoor/outdoor shelter enables Care for Dogs to provide high-quality care year-round, and the outdoor enclosure provides an opportunity to socialize their shelter dogs before adoption.

The Care for Dogs team also believes in spay/neuter and have a sterilization campaign in Brasov and the surrounding towns so that the rate of abandonment decreases. They also educate the youth about the responsibilities of having a pet and the importance of spay and neuter, to help raise awareness.

SPCA International is proud to support Asociatia Care for Dogs Romania as they continue to grow and look to expand their shelter to allow future care for farm animals.
