Their Work

Asociación y Refugio para Animales sin Posibilidades (ASRA) is a non-profit animal sanctuary based in Muro de Alcoy, Spain. Created by a family of 4 in 2016, they usually care for around 100 animals, including cats, dogs, sheep and chickens.

Nearly all of the animals at ASRA are disabled, traumatized, handicapped and/or chronically ill. ASRA is a forever home sanctuary for these animals – a kind of hospice – and typically does not offer them up for adoption. They also actively work to promote spay and neuter and have completed several sterilization projects in their country to help manage stray cat colonies. ASRA also strongly believes in community outreach and advocacy and tries to educate their community on the issue of animal abuse.

SPCA International is proud to support Animal Sanctuary & Refuge for Animals without Possibilities in their mission as they continue to grow.
