For over a decade, SPCA International has been working alongside shelter partners in Asia to combat the cruel dog and cat meat trade. We’ve seen meaningful progress thanks to the tireless efforts of dedicated animal welfare organizations and passionate activists. Public attitudes are shifting, and more people in regions where dog meat is traditionally consumed are standing up and saying no.
But our work is far from over. We remain committed to ending this barbaric industry once and for all.
To strengthen our fight, we’ve partnered with the Duo Duo Project, an organization that shares our mission to end the dog meat trade and envisions a future where people across China cherish the bond between humans and animals and treat all living beings with kindness and respect.
Today, we’re proud to highlight their incredible work, especially their efforts in Yulin, China. We’re honored to support their spay and neuter campaign, which is vital in humanely reducing the stray animal population—animals often most at risk of being exploited by the meat trade.
