Pera

A 1-year-old survivor. Her name means strong, a perfect symbol of the resilience that carried her through the harshest of beginnings. Born on the streets of Turkey, her only toy was a piece of trash, and her bed was a scrap of cardboard. Turkey’s Massacre Law puts countless stray animals at risk of abuse and death. Despite it all, Pera has a joyful spirit. Pera is fully vaccinated, healthy, and ready for her journey to the U.S. in early October. She’s sweet, gentle, great with people and dogs, and just as happy to play as she is to curl up for a nap. Pera is still looking for the family she’s been waiting for her whole life.
