Their Work
Founded in 2010, Meru Animal Welfare Organization (MAWO) has been working to improve the lives of all animals in Tanzania.
Through mobile outreach, MAWO provides essential medical care to donkeys, dogs and cats in multiple regions across Tanzania. In addition to the medical care that MAWO provides, they also promote humane education in communities and schools, provide disease prevention and control, lobby for stronger protections for animals in Tanzania, and train the proper restraint and care of animals.
SPCA International is proud to partner with Meru Animal Welfare Organization as they continue to protect the animals of Tanzania from abuse, cruelty, disease and death.
