Quemod was rescued from abuse and neglect by Simabo, our shelter partner on the island of Sao Vicente, Cape Verde, situated off the West Coast of Africa. This sweet senior dog was kept on a short, tight leash under the sun for days. He has not been around people much, so it takes him some time to get used to new faces, but once he is more comfortable, his personality starts to blossom. Gilly is a smart and sweet Pitbull mix who was dumped on the side of the road in Putnam County, New York. He is a quick learner, eager to please, and has a ton of love to give.
