Their Work

Tamaz Elizbarashvili’s Association for the Rescue and Protection of Dogs was established in 2006, in the country of Georgia. This one of a kind rescue group has provided a warm, safe location to over 600 dogs that once called the harsh streets home. Upon arrival, each dog is provided with an extensive medical and nutritional evaluation. Once the dog is healthy they are put up for adoption.

Since the implementation of their adoption program, Tamaz Elizbarashvili’s Association for the Rescue and Protection of Dogs has successfully placed 520 dogs into new loving homes.

Tamaz Elizbarashvili’s Association for the Rescue and Protection of Dogs has not only saved the lives of over 600 dogs but they have also helped reduce the number of unwanted dogs from being born through their spay and neuter and educational programs. They continue to develop humane practices throughout the country, making it a better place for dogs and humans.

We honor Tamaz Elizbarashvili’s Association for the Rescue and Protection of Dogs for their hard work and dedication by naming them a SPCA International Shelter of the Week recipient.
