Dushka and Christopher Reunite at Boston Airport
We were honored to bring Dushka to the airport to welcome U.S. Marine Veteran Christopher Smith home last week. Christopher was arriving after 6 months as a volunteer ISIS fighter with Kurdish forces in Iraq and it was the first time in months he had seen the puppy he saved from sure death. Dushka was delighted to sniff, lick and snuggle up with her hero dad. Local Boston news stations and the Boston Herald waited many hours with us - all eager to see the first moments when Dushka saw Christopher again. It was one of our most memorable reunions yet. A Safe Haven for Farm Animals: R.A.S.T.A.
RASTAR.A.S.T.A. is addressing an underserved animal community by providing advocacy and shelter to abused and neglected farm animals. The sanctuary is currently home to over 50 pot belly pigs, a steer by the name of Theo who was an abused veal calf, 2 goats, 2 donkeys, a miniature horse, geese and ducks. Each of these beautiful animals was the victim of abuse, neglect and/or saved from slaughter. Learn More About R.A.S.T.A.

VaquitaThe Vaquita is the rarest marine mammal, these small porpoises care found in the northern part of the Gulf of California. Unlike other dolphin species Vaquitas are solitary mammals that are usually alone unless accompanied by a calf. Due to gillnet fishing there are less than 100 Vaquitas left in the world. You can help Vaquitas by always choosing certified sustainable seafood.
Please help our animal population - have your pets spayed or neutered!
