Over the last three years Alabama Spay/Neuter (http://www.alspay.org), who will soon be featured through our Shelter Program, has performed over 44,000 high quality, low cost surgeries to many people who otherwise could not afford to fix their animals. In addition to helping pet owners, they have also developed an active TNR (Trap, Neuter, Release) for the hundreds of unwanted strays roaming the communities in the State of Alabama.

So when they received a letter from the Veterinary Board of Examiners proposing a rule that would cease all operation, public outcry and support from animal advocates across the state stepped in.
